Environmental Sciences
NELSON’S Environmental Sciences and Engineering Department has provided guidance to clients since its formation over thirty years ago. This has led to development of projects which allow for utilization of natural resources while protecting public health and the environment and maintaining compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. The range of services offered by the Department can start with the planning or development phases of a project, progressing through permitting and into construction, start-up and operation. Our staff stays current with the rapidly changing regulatory environment, enabling a state of the art approach to planning, expediting and executing complex environmental programs. These have included permitting, risk-based corrective actions, wetland restoration or creation, and many other types of projects. On all assignments, we strive to use the most cost-effective approach.
NELSON can point to a long list of project experience in such areas as: permitting for industrial clients (air, water, stormwater, solid/hazardous wastes); siting and routing studies; engineering of containment systems, municipal and industrial wastewater treatment facilities; landfill design; engineering for wetland restoration projects; and environmental site assessments (Phase I, II and III). |
