Powering The Future: Delivering Engineering Excellence Since 1945
Waldemar S. Nelson and Company, Inc. is an established leader in engineering, project management, and architecture, with a rich history of serving industries and public sectors since 1945. When it comes to data centers, NELSON brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the table. Our firm has a proven track record in designing large-scale HVAC systems tailored for electrical equipment and computer rooms, often addressing the significant heat loads generated by such facilities. This expertise extends to deepwater projects, where complex cooling systems are a necessity.
Massive cooling capacity is needed for data centers
In addition to HVAC systems, NELSON excels in the design of robust electrical distribution systems.
Many of these systems integrate power generation facilities and redundant power configurations, ensuring reliability and efficiency. Our team is also well-versed in creating hardened industrial buildings that can withstand extreme conditions, including high wind loads, blasts, and fire exposure. For data centers requiring specialized infrastructure, we have significant experience designing computer and control buildings with raised floors and unique wiring systems to meet specific operational needs.
With engineering licenses spanning over 40 states, multiple Canadian jurisdictions, and U.S. territories, as well as architectural licenses in two states, NELSON’s reach and capabilities are extensive. Currently, we are designing a power plant to support a data center in the American midwest and are actively collaborating on proposals for other data center-related projects, such as power generation facilities and modularized cooling systems.
LET’S COLLABORATE!
Our deep expertise and innovative approach make us a trusted partner for data center projects, delivering solutions that are both reliable and forward-thinking.
